A Bit About Me

Victoria is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. She holds a Social Work degree from Toronto Metropolitan University (Formerly known as Ryerson) with a minor in Psychology. Presently Victoria is completing her Master’s degree in Psychology and Counselling. In addition, Victoria has completed training in the Gottman Method, which is effective for couples counselling.
Victoria moved to Canada with her family from Ukraine during childhood and continues to speak Russian and Ukrainian. From a young age, Victoria always had a passion for helping others and officially entered the Social Work field in 2015. Since then, she has been working with children and families from all walks of life and has worked to support individuals in matters such as abuse and trauma, addiction, domestic violence, family conflict, mental health, parenting challenges and life transitions. From an anti-oppressive approach, Victoria recognizes the importance of the various aspects of identity, such as gender, age, ability, race, culture and socioeconomic status, that can impact one’s experience, opportunities and barriers.
Victoria believes that clients are the experts in their life, and she acts as a guide in helping them develop a deeper understanding of themselves. Victoria is passionate about working with clients from a holistic perspective that focuses on the interconnectedness of the whole being – the mind, body and soul. Her goal is to provide a safe, supportive, healing, integrative counselling approach by combining traditional talk therapy with other alternative therapies she is certified in, such as Breathwork, EFT Tapping/Thought Field Therapy, Mindfulness and Reiki when appropriate.
Over the years, Victoria gained a great interest in regulating the nervous system and healing the inner child (unresolved childhood needs and wounds that can impact the adulthood stage). Victoria meets clients where they are at in their counselling journey in a compassionate and non-judgemental manner. She utilizes modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, emotionally-focused therapy and somatic therapy. Victoria aspires to guide clients through their past, present, and individual strengths in a safe matter by co-creating individually-tailored sessions where you feel seen, heard and empowered while healing and re-establishing a balance within.
